The harp pictured here is a 21 bar chromatic instrument with a Cedarwood soundboard but now only made in quarter sawn Mahogany or Sitka Spruce.
The back of the harp is now also made of a quarter sawn tonewood not plywood, hence the price increase. This makes for a much better sounding higher grade instrument.
Sides are ebonised, & fine tuners fitted as standard. This model is also availible with a diatonic set up at no extra cost.
Testimonial 22 Feb 2011 Hi Alec, I thought you would like to know how much Mike Fenton likes your Harp you made for me.I had my second lesson with him this morning. He said it was one of the best Harps he has ever played, & the bar action was really good. I always think praise should be passed on to those who deserve it ! S. G.
Here are some examples of hand built Chomatic Harps.
